This authentic US military surplus Therm-A-Rest sleeping pad, also known as The Improved Sleeping Mat (ISM) by the USMC, is specifically engineered for the convenience of Marines. Its innovative design allows for easy folding into a compact size, making it effortless to carry and store.

Crafted from closed-cell crosslinked polyethylene foam, this pad comes pre-formed with full-width folds. Measuring 72" x 23" when laid flat, it can be neatly folded into a compact 5" x 5 1/4" x 23" rectangle, occupying just 605 cubic inches for swift packing and hassle-free stowage. Two elasticized loops keep the mat securely folded. This compact design reduces packed volume by 20% and saves time during packing, all while preserving the pad's insulation, padding, reliability, and durability. It weighs approximately 1.3lbs.
